Vuk Krakovic

Director, Music and Sound Design

Vuk Krakovic graduated with a Bachelor of Music from Kärntner Landeskonservatorium, Austria in 1997. He then spent the next two years pursuing a Postgraduate Diploma in Advanced Instrumental Studies and Composition under the tutelage of renowned Professors David Takeno (violin), Yfrah Neaman (violin), and Professor Malcolm Singer (composition) at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama in London. From 1999 to 2001, Vuk completed his Master’s Degree in Music Performance under Professor Peter Sheppard Skaerved at the London College of Music, University of West London.

Vuk’s work includes original music composition for theatre productions by W!lde Rice, the SRT, and Gardens by the Bay’s Garden Rhapsody Series. He also created the music and sound design for MIMOID II, the video-mapping spectacle created by Stéphane Beve, Milosh Luczynski, and Philippe Rizzotti as part of the Singapore Art Museum’s Singapore Night Festival in 2012. Additionally, Vuk’s original compositions have been released on Spotify, Apple Music, iTunes, and other services under the name Vuk Krakovic LAI.

As an instrumentalist, Vuk performed with Cirque du Solei between 2004 and 2012, touring across four continents with the company. He has recorded and performed with British bands The Delgados and Belle and Sebastian, also performing at the Mosaic Music Festival at the Esplanade, along with his trio. Recently, he collaborated with the London/Leeds-based electronic band Submotion Orchestra on their latest album Colour Theory.

Before joining DigiPen, Vuk taught modern music and violin at LASALLE College of the Arts.

Vuk Krakovic teaches the following degrees: Bachelor of Fine Arts in Digital Art and Animation, Bachelor of Science in Computer Science in Real-Time Interactive Simulation, Bachelor of Arts in Game Design, Bachelor of Science in Computer Science and Game Design, Bachelor of Arts in User Experience and Game Design.
