DigiPen (Singapore) is proud to announce the launch of three new degree programs: the Bachelor of Arts in Digital Entertainment and Creative Technology (BA DECT), the Master of Arts in Creative Technology (MACT), and the Master of Science in Computer Science (MSCS). These programs will be offered independently by DigiPen (Singapore) and will be taught at our newly expanded facility within the Punggol Digital District, a vibrant hub designed to foster innovation and collaboration at the intersection of technology and the creative industries.

BA in Digital Entertainment and Creative Technology (BA DECT)

Best for: Aspiring animators, artists, and digital creators

If you’ve always dreamed of working in animation, VFX, or digital media, this bachelor’s degree was made for you. The program builds a strong foundation in art, design, and 3D digital workflows, and lets you choose a specialization that matches your strengths — whether that’s animation and rigging, character and environment art, or technical art. Alongside your craft, you’ll also develop the collaborative and team-based production skills that are essential in any professional creative setting, graduating with a curated portfolio ready to make its mark in the industry.

Career outlook: animator, 3D modeler, VFX artist, technical artist, pre-visualization artist, production designer, virtual production specialist

MA in Creative Technology (MACT)

Best for: Creative professionals ready to level up

Already working in the creative industry but looking to grow? The MACT is a graduate program designed to help you specialize and lead. The curriculum has a strong focus on applied industry projects and production pipeline automation, where you’ll dive deep into scripting and building custom tools that solve real bottlenecks in professional pipelines.

Through intensive studio-based practice, you will also deepen your expertise in a chosen area such as real-time cinematics, procedural art, visual effects, game engines, and more. Alongside your specialization, you’ll also build skills in production management, design innovation, and business strategy, positioning you to confidently step into leadership roles across film, animation, games, XR, and immersive media.

Career outlook: creative director, virtual production supervisor, technical director, media producer, independent media artist

MS in Computer Science (MSCS)

Best for: Tech professionals looking to specialize

The tech sector continues to grow and evolve rapidly, making deep, applied expertise more valuable than ever. The MSCS equips you with advanced skills across the full software development spectrum — from designing and building systems to deploying them in real-world, performance-critical environments.

With a strong emphasis on real-time computing, you will build end-to-end expertise across the entire data lifecycle, spanning data collection and processing through parallel and distributed computing. This gives you the tools to tackle complex computational challenges that modern life demands.

DigiPen (Singapore) also emphasizes collaboration and applied learning. Here, you will work within multidisciplinary teams in settings that closely mirror professional industry environments — particularly in interactive simulations, media technologies, and advanced software systems.

Career outlook: software engineer, software analyst, AI programmer, producer, tools developer, technical director

These three programs represent an exciting new chapter for DigiPen (Singapore) as we expand our academic footprint and deepen our commitment to preparing students for the technology and creative industries.
